Karnataka gets an exclusive OTT platform

Apr 18: Arvinda and Avinash, popularly known as the Jugaari Brothers (from their maiden film Jugaari), have ventured into building an OTT platform, Katte, for Karnataka and global Kannadigas.

The Creative Founders of Katte have a legacy behind them as the grandsons of the legendary comedian, the late Narasimharaju.

Katte, the OTT platform aims to cater exclusively to the entertainment needs of the people of Karnataka. The OTT market has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last one year aided by the pandemic-induced lockdown.

There is a huge gap in the entertainment sector that needed to be filled. The long-felt need for an OTT platform that exclusively caters to the needs of Karnataka’s entertainment sector, that promotes local artistes will now stand fulfilled,” said S D Arvinda, Chief Operating Officer Katte Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

People now mostly end up watching dubbed shows or shows that are not in sync with the local sentiments and culture. Katte will definitely help bridge that gap as we will have many in-house productions that will grow from local culture and stories” added, Avinash, Chief Executive Officer, Katte Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

Katte is an OTT platform that seeks to fill a yawning gap in Karnataka’s entertainment sector. The platform aims to exclusively cater to the entertainment needs of all dialects of Karnataka.

Katte Audio:

Katte aims to be a holistic platform. As part of its offerings, Katte also intends to provide a platform for singers, composers and musicians, Katte Audio will be an exclusive online music streaming system with original compositions.

In addition to streaming newly released film songs, Katte Audio intends to produce original music that encourages local folk and regional artists.
