Sep 22: I2U2 (India-Israel–UAE–USA) Sherpas met on the sidelines of UN General Assembly in New York on 20 September 2022. India was represented by Shri Dammu Ravi, Secretary(ER), Ministry of External Affairs; US side by Mr. Jose W. Fernandez, US Under Secretary of State; Israeli side by Mr. Alon Ushpiz, Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel; and UAE side by Mr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, United Arab Emirates.
The group expressed its commitment to deepening the economic partnership among the four countries. They took stock of the projects identified under I2U2: (i) setting up of food parks in India and (ii) hybrid Renewable Energy/battery storage project in Dwarka, Gujarat.
The group agreed to continue to work closely in line with the outcome of the Leaders’ Summit in July 2022.
