Tripoli, Jan6: At least 23 students were killed and many others injured in airstrikes on the military school in Tripoli capital of Libya.
Many others were injured in the incident, according to the UN-backed National Accord (GNA) Health Ministry.
According to preliminary reports, 23 students have died, the ministry wrote on its Facebook.
Al-Jazeera TV reports that 28 people have been killed in the attack.
The military school is in the southern al-Hadba al-Qadra district of Tripoli, which is controlled by the Western-based GNA.
Since April, the Libyan National Army (LNA), which supports rival East-based officials, has been involved in an invasion of Tripoli. Military action has turned the area into a violent fighting area, causing unrest and an atmosphere of anxiety.
