April 26: Canadian High Commission have mentioned that 12 flights have already taken off until now and another 13 flights are being planned to vacate their citizens who are stuck in India due to COVID19 Lockdown.
The flights have been arranged from cities such as Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai & Delhi.
The high commission in its latest tweet said “
12 flights from Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai & Delhi have helped many #Canadians get home from across #India. More flights have been arranged over the next several days.”
It further said “Only Permanent Resident travellers who are immediate family members of Canadian citizens & are accompanying the Canadian citizen on the flight, are included in these special flights. Boarding will be limited to eligible travellers only.”
They have further ordered all the citizens flying should undergo 14 day mandatory quarantine on returning home
