April 29: Today the Ministry of External Affairs saw a number of new postings with new ambassadors taking charge of their new positions. While 4 postings were as ambassadors of a country, one was as permanent representative of India in the United Nations. The postings are as follows
Shri Piyush Srivastava (IFS: 1998), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain
Shri Deepak Mittal (IFS: 1998), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar
Shri Jaideep Mazumdar (IFS: 1989), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Philippines, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Austria.
Ms. Namrata S. Kumar (IFS:l997), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Slovenia.
hri T. S. Tirumurti (IFS:1985), presently Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as the next Ambassador/Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations at New York.
