May 02: Coronaviruses has one of the largest strains compared to other flu viruses. While some of them affect people, others affect certain types of animals and birds. A study by the centre for disease control and prevention in the US released materials that the Corona Virus has a risk of spreading from animals to people as well as from people to animal.
Risk of animals spreading to people
Some strains that infect animals have the possibility of spreading to humans and then further spread among people. This is what COVID19 is all about. Spread from Bat to Human and then Human to Human.
Risk of people spreading to animals
Though it has not been heard much about spreding from Humans to animals, there has been rare cases where such situations have occured. The first case in the United States of an animal testing positive for the virus was a tiger having respiratory illness at a New York zoo. However other than this there has not been any other cases reported until now.
With new strains forming, no one is sure about how this virus is going to affect both the humans and the animals. The biggest threat to the world would be if coronavirus acquires the ability to spread from human-human, human-animal, animal-animal and animal-human. And when this appends then it will be the Apocalypse
