Oct 20: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has been conducting the Special Campaign 3.0 on Swachhata within the offices of the Ministry located in various parts of the World. The Campaign started on October 02, 2023 and will continue up to October 31, 2023. The main focus areas of the Campaign include effective disposal of public grievances, references from Members of Parliament, Parliament Assurances, Cleanliness drive, disposal of scrap and weeding out of files.
The Campaign has seen enthusiastic participation from the offices and officials of MEA, Regional Passport Offices, Indian Missions/ Posts abroad, Branch Secretariats and its subordinate offices in India. During the period 02 – 15 October 2023, the Ministry has conducted 415 cleanliness campaigns. 1,39,953 physical files have been reviewed out of which 58,383 redundant physical files have been weeded out. 578 e-files have been closed. Space of about 11,644 sq. ft. has been freed by removing junk/obsolete items. Further, 352 public grievances have been resolved and 108 PMO references have been disposed of.
MEA is also using social media to conduct outreach to the public highlight its efforts under Special Campaign 3.0 and amplify through social media platforms of the Ministry.
All offices under the control of the Ministry are enthusiastically participating in the Special Campaign 3.0 and are determined to achieve the targets set during the preparatory phase.
