Mar 13: Prime Minister of Bhutan, H.E Dasho Tshering Tobgay will be on an official visit to India from 14-18 March, 2024 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The upcoming visit is Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay’s first overseas visit after assuming office in January 2024. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Employment and senior officials from the Royal Government of Bhutan will accompany the Prime Minister of Bhutan.
During the visit, Prime Minister of Bhutan will call on the President Smt. Droupadi Murmu and hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of India. The External Affairs Minister and other Indian dignitaries will call on the Prime Minister of Bhutan. Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay will also visit Mumbai during his visit.
India and Bhutan enjoy exemplary ties of friendship and cooperation, based on trust, goodwill and mutual understanding at all levels. The visit of the Prime Minister of Bhutan will provide an opportunity to the two sides to review the progress in our unique partnership and to discuss ways and means to expand the enduring ties of friendship and cooperation between India and Bhutan.
