Jun 2: Ms. Gaitri Issar Kumar appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom.
The 1986 IFS officer is currently serving as the ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the European Union. HE Gaitri Kumar joined as Ambassador of India to Belgium in July 2017. Prior to that, she was the Joint/Additional Secretary
to the President of India
She shall replace Ambassador HE Ruchi Ganshyam who retired on 4th April 2020.
HE Gaitri Kumar is expected to take charge of his position soon.
