Aug 10: A two-day eITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) programme on “Policing during Pandemic Times” at Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD) was inaugurated by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs on 10th August, 2020.
Around ninety participants from Argentina, Benin, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bhutan, Kenya, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Myanmar Eswatini, Vietnam and other ITEC partner countries are participating in the eITEC programme on 10-11 August, 2020.
While this is the first course with BPRD on the subject, this is the twelfth such eITEC programme on COVID-19 organised by the Ministry of External Affairs in which around 1000 participants from different ITEC partner countries have participated and benefited.
ITEC is the flagship programme of the Indian Government’s capacity building efforts. Launched in 1964, ITEC is a vehicle to share the fruits of India’s socio-economic development and technological achievement with other developing countries. BPRD is one of the partner institutes that conducts capacity building programmes under ITEC.
