About Italy

Italy, also known as the Italian Republic is a South European country alongside the long Mediterranean coastline. Italy, like Greece has played an important role in ancient times due to the Roman empire that stretched across Europe and North Africa. The country is one of the most advanced countries in terms of culture and economy.

Italy has a capitalist mixed economy. It is regarded as one of the world’s most advanced countries with high quality of life and human development index.

Italy ranks as the world’s sixth-largest manufacturing country. It is well known for the automobile industry, machinery, food, Design, and Fashion. Italy is home to many fashion, luxury, perfume, and cosmetic brands.

Agriculturally Italy has been famous for its wines and vineyards. Olives, Fruits, and vegetables are produced in the country.

Tourism plays an important role in the country’s economy. Not only because Italy is the home to the famous Roman empire, but also due to the presence of the Vatican which is the holiest place for Christians.
